Calling all ladies 40 & over! Do you love fashion?  I’m not just talking about clothes, but shoes,  jewelry, and all the accessories. If the answer is yes then come with me to find the most elegant but still trendy way to pull an outfit together. Ladies, we may be older (lol) but we still have “it”.

I started this blog because now after turning 60, I believe we can still look good.

What’s better than to try out new stylish trends? Getting the best deal for something trendy and new but at a lower price, who wouldn’t want that?
I definitely have an agenda for writing this blog.  My mission is one, to seek out the best deal for fashionable items and pass on the information to others and two, show how to style new trends.

My new obsession is shoes.  Who wouldn’t want STYLISH, COMFORTABLE , & TRENDY.  Luckily this year is full of shoes to fit that. The “Sporty” look is really hot now.

FOR EXAMPLE:

Roxy ( purchased from DSW)

As compared to here, Nordstrom

P1030414

Native -Rubber slip-ons (Whole Earth Provision)

P1030642

Keds

All cost less than $40. You could pay more but why?

Here’s a comparison of similar styles. The gold ones were bought in

a specialty boutique. They cost $65 as compared to $40.

That’s what I mean by comparative shopping.

However, the gold ones are unique and different.

While usually worn with shorts and pants, dresses and skirts are good too. You choose. It all works!

Dress – Banana Republic, shoes Roxy

P1030428

Top – H&M, skirt- Loft, shoes Keds

This ankle-strap style of shoe is also big this year. I have seen them at department stores ranging from $40.00 and up. These I just purchased at Old Navy. To me they are so similar that it does not make sense to spend a lot, (similar here)

These were on sale for only, get ready, $20.00

On the left is the Pantone color this year which is Marsala, a reddish brown color.

Whether its a clothing piece or an accessory, you can mix it with any other piece.

Pantone is an organization which sets the color standards for manufacturers, retail, and designers each year. Fashion follows their lead for the new seasons. Each year features a new color.

MY TIPS:

1.  Crop tops are OK (Wear with high waisted garments, or with a cami under)

2.  Dress length to knee or below

3. Heels, heels, heels! (Any height that’s comfortable)

SEE YOU NEXT TIME!

HAPPY SHOPPING
